THE RECEPTION OF SACRAMENTS FOR

THE CHURCH OF THE INCARNATION

 

Reconciliation

Children attending Incarnation’s Religious Education on Sunday, or attend Incarnation Catholic School in grade 2, will prepare to receive their First Reconciliation on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Chapel.

There will be a Parent Meeting for Reconciliation on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 pm in the Finegan Center. This meeting is for parents only from both Religious Ed and Incarnation School.

 

Family session for Religious Education only, will be held on Monday, Nov. 26 at 6:30 pm in the Finegan Center. This meeting is for both parent and child.

 


 

First Holy Communion

Children attending Incarnation’s Religious Education on Sunday, or attend Incarnation Catholic School in grade 2, will prepare to receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:00 am Mass.

 

There will be a Parent Meeting for First Holy Communion on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Finegan Center. This meeting is for parents only from both Religious Ed and Incarnation School.

 

Enrollment Mass: for all children receiving First Holy Communion will be held on Sunday, January 20 at the 9:00 am Mass.

 

Family session for Religious Education only, will be held on Monday, April 1 at 6:30 pm in the Finegan Center. This meeting is for both the parent and the child.


 

Reception of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

For Grades 3 – 8

Children in Grades 3 – 8 who would like to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion at Incarnation Parish must:

Attend Religious Education on Sunday morning or attend Incarnation Catholic School.

In addition to Religious Education classes, the student will need to attend Sacramental Preparation Classes once a month, on the first Sunday of the month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Religious Education Office. These sessions are as follows:

October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7.

 


 

Reception of Confirmation

Grade 10

The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two year process, beginning in the 9th Grade and culminating with the reception of the Sacrament at the end of 10th Grade. All students must complete Grade 9 Religious Education to be eligible to receive Confirmation in Grade 10.

 

Students in the 10th Grade (or higher) will attend Confirmation Preparation Classes once a month beginning September 23 in Room 209 from 10:15 am to 11:30 am.

 

In addition to the monthly classes each student will be required to attend a scheduled “Confirmation Retreat,” once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Retreat dates are TBD and will be given to the student at the beginning of the sessions.
